West Metro Youth

Striving that everything we do – in every way – gives glory to God.

Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

Giving Glory

It is clear throughout scripture that God deserves and expects glory be given to Him. Those of us at West Metro are focused on this and we try to magnify Him in everything we do.

Shining the Light

By our actions all people will know that we are of God, and not of this world. We all hope to live our lives so differently from the world that we will be a shining light and point the only way to eternal life which is through Jesus.

Serving Others

We love serving and working for the Lord. We are always looking for ways in which we can help other people in big ways, and in the small ways. Through service we show the love of Christ.

Helping Each Other

As brothers and sisters we will walk beside each other with the Holy Spirit. When one falls, another will be there to pick that person up. We understand that everyone is going to mess up, and we should give forgiveness just as we would wish to receive it from others.

A Passion for the Presence of God

Peace, Perfect Peace

"Shalom" in the Hebrew language means, "peace" and is used in the Middle East today as we would use the terms "hello" and "goodbye" here in America. This Hebrew word though has deeper connotations than the words we use for greeting others. This word actually means...

The Purpose of Family

What is home suppose to be? Not just to the individual but to the whole family unit? Often times I think we view it as our escape from reality; our personal paradise. It is a place to go and not have a care in the world - minus a few dirty clothes or dishes. I believe...

Missing Home

Take any family. Any family you pick at random will have some sort of disease that seems to be prevalent throughout generations. Whenever you fill out those medical forms (or maybe your parents are the ones filling them out) you have to check all the illnesses that...

So, You Had A Bad Day?

Do you remember that Daniel Powter song? Man, I sure do. It always reminds me of the summer of my 8th grade year. My youth group was at a work camp and it was miserably hot. And I mean hot. Like really hot. I don't know how else to get this point across to you so I...

Everything I’ve Done, I’ve Done For You

Ever since I can remember my younger brother has always loved “stuff”. Things, knick-knacks, toys, whatever he could posses - he wanted it. He was one of those kids that ran to the toy aisle and would bring back four or five things and let my parents pick out what...
